Welty Employee Referral Program

At Welty, we believe that great people know great people.  To support our continued growth with talented and motivated individuals, we encourage our employees to refer qualified candidates for open positions.  As a token of appreciation, we offer a cash bonus to employees whose referrals lead to successful hires.  This program not only rewards our current team members for their contributions but also helps us build a strong, more connected workforce.

We always think in terms of “We,” and never in terms of “I” or “Them.”

Program Details: If a current employee refers a candidate that is hired and remains with Welty for at least 90 calendar days, the referring employee will receive a $1,000 gross bonus less applicable taxes added to the paycheck after which time the newly hired employee hits 90 days.

Eligibility: To maintain and separate eligibility from current job expectations and employees going above and beyond to recommend new employees, we have created the following terms for eligibility:

  1.  Employees on the ELT and/or WECC are not eligible for a referral bonus. 

  2. Hiring managers are not eligible for a referral bonus for hiring a candidate within their own team. Additionally, Supervisors, Managers, and/or Directors with a direct reporting line to the referred candidate are not eligible. 

  3. Newly hired employees must remain employed for a period of 90 days post-hiring date for referrer to receive the bonus. 

  4. Ineligible for Bonus Referrals: Although we encourage ALL referrals, referrals of the following candidates will not result in a referral bonus: 

  • Previous employees and current employees being referred to new positions within the organization. 

  • Interns

  • Part-Time employees 

  • Contract candidates 

   5. Referrers must submit candidate referrals via ADP under 'Myself > Career Center > My referrals > refer a friend' in advance of  candidate start date including all pertinent details. 

   6. Only one referral award can be given per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than one employee, the first referral received (if within 12 months) will be the one rewarded if the candidate is hired. 

 

Process: 

  1. Submit referrals via ADP under 'Myself > Career Center > My referrals > refer a friend including all pertinent details and information including the referred candidates resume. 

  2. The Talent team will record the referral and follow Welty’s standard interview process. 

  3. Upon offer, the Talent team will record the referral for review by the Human Resources team. 

  4. Human Resources will notify the payroll team upon completion of 90 days of employment by the referred candidate to submit the $1,000 gross bonus to the referrers’ upcoming paycheck less applicable taxes. 

 

Note: The Hiring Manager and Talent Team reserve the right to decline a candidate from consideration of a particular position based on certain criteria as requested for a position.  Welty will keep the candidate’s information on file and if hired within one year of the initial referral, the referrer will continue to receive the referral bonus.
